[ARCHIVED] Air Quality Advisory

Air Quality in smoke impacted regions of Klickitat may be Unhealthy for Everyone. Air quality is generally at the poorest in the morning and evening period of the day.  Smoke advisories provide generalized regional information only. Everyone should limit time spent outdoors. Everyone should avoid exercising outdoors (including sports teams) and choose non-strenuous indoor activities. People with asthma, respiratory infection, diabetes, lung or heart disease, or have had a stroke should stay indoors. Infants, children, pregnant women and adults over age 65 should also stay indoors. Excessive heat may make these conditions worse.

Adverse symptoms may include dizziness, headache, difficulty breathing, coughing, excessive phlegm, and nausea. The Washington Department of Ecology has issued an excessive heat warning through 8:00PM Thursday which can increase the effects of poor air quality. For specific medical advice please contact your health care provider.
