Call to Order - 5:00 P.M.;  Roll Call & Introductions

Approval of Resolution No. 20-01

  • Overview of Working Washington Small Business Grant Program and Washington Department of Commerce Office grant (Contract Number: 21-00021-019) for administration and economic support to small businesses and economic development non-profit organizations for costs incurred due to the coronavirus disease.
  • Consider for adoption Resolution No. 20-01, which:

    • Documents KCPEDA Board’s finding that expenditure of CARES Act funding as provided in the grant is necessary;
    • Authorizes the Executive Director to sign the grant agreement and to request reimbursement from the Department of Commerce, per the grant agreement; and
    • Authorizes the Executive Director to sign a subgrantee/subcontractor agreement with Klickitat County to administer and implement the grant.

 Working Washington Small Business Grant Program Process

KCPEDA Board provide direction on small business grant program operating parameters, to include eligible business size limit (e.g., 10 or 20 employees); whether or not businesses that received a Working Washington Small Business Emergency Program grant or County Coronavirus Relief Fund small business emergency grant are eligible; and Board members willing to volunteer to assist with scoring/ranking applications. 

 Establishing a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Klickitat & Skamania Counties

Discussion regarding establishing an SBDC to serve Klickitat and Skamania Counties.

  • Board Decision: KCPEDA Board recommendation on establishing an SBDC
