Board of County Commissioners Public Notices

The Board of County Commissioners will hold public hearings on Tuesday, May 4 at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 205 S. Columbus, Goldendale, WA.   


THE PURPOSE of said hearing is to take testimony (pursuant to RCW 36.70.795) on Ordinance O033021, a moratorium on commercial/industrial solar projects subject to a conditional use permit process. 


Following guidance issued in the Governor’s Proclamation 20-28 (Open Public Meetings Act and Public Records Act) issued March 24, 2020, and as it has been extended, participation in this meeting will be offered as follows:


  1. To attend the meeting in person.   Note all County facilities are currently open at limited capacity.  Physical distancing and face-covering guidelines must be followed.

Any person desiring to express their views on the matter is invited to join the hearing to provide testimony.  If you wish to provide comments before the Board, we ask that please call our office at (509) 773-4612 prior to 12 noon on May 4, 2021, and we can add you to the list for providing testimony.  At the meeting the names of those wishing to testify will be called out and at that time you will be able to present your comments/concerns.  Written testimony may also be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners, 205 S Columbus, Goldendale, WA 98620, or email to
