| Not finding what you want? Try Search List by Predefined Related Subjects About the Search If no text is submitted to the search engine, all records are returned. First the list is searched for occurrences of the exact string of text entered. Then it is searched for occurrences of each word in the string of text. In words ending with an "s" or "S", the last letter "s" is removed, in the single word searches. Both singular and plural words will be found. The search is not performed on common words like "the", "and", "of", "are" and a few others. The search engine will look for occurrences of a single letter or number. The search engine will not perform single word searches on a string of text containing a series of single letters or numbers separated by spaces. Example: string of text is "a b cd e". The search will look for occurrences of the string "a b cd e". It will not search for "a", "b", or "e". It will search for "cd". You can limit the types of entries returned by unchecking the boxes next to Index, Document and Service, or, by selected a specific department. Index: An Index is a list of records maintained by a department. Document: A Document could be publication like an ordinance, the Solid Waste Management Plan or a contract. Service: A Service is any type of assistance offered to the public by staff or a contractor. If there is information located on our web site related to an item in the list, the Title will be a link to the related web page. If the department has a web page, the department name will be a link to the department's home web page. |
