NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS KLICKITAT COUNTY GOLDENDALE, WASHINGTON Sealed bids will be received by the Klickitat County Board of County Commissioners at the reception desk located in the Klickitat County Public Works Department, 115 South Golden, Goldendale, Washington, mailing address 228 W. Main, MS-CH-19, Goldendale, Washington 98620 until 1:15 P.M. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, and will then be opened on 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at the Commissioner’s Chambers, and publicly read for the construction of the improvement. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Klickitat County. Informational copies of maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection in the Office of the Klickitat County Engineer, Goldendale, Washington 98620. Plans may be obtained from this office upon payment of the amount of $25.00 which is non-refundable. The improvement to Klickitat County Roads for which bids will be received consists of the improvement 1.46 miles of Old Mtn Road, County Road Number 34750 and 1.01 miles of Fenton Lane, County Road Number 33610, by clearing, grading, installing drainage, and placing surfacing, and other related work. Estimate Vicinity: $ 350,000 Bid envelopes shall be appropriately marked on the outside "BID OPENING 1:30 P.M., May 4, 2004 Old Mtn Road-Fenton Lane” Dated this 16th day of March 2004.
