Klickitat County seeks interested individuals to serve on a new advisory board for emergency management. This new board will advise the county on various plans being developed or updated including the County’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP); an interoperable communications plan; and an assessment and upgrade plan for the emergency operations center. The board may also be asked to comment on spending plans for federal and state grant funds, and the future organizational structure of emergency management in the County. Meetings will likely be held monthly with additional meetings as the CEMP is reviewed and finalized. The board is expected to exist for one-year and be replaced by a permanent board as part of the long-term organizational structure of emergency management for the County. Interested individuals must submit a letter of interest no later than 4 p.m., June 11 to Klickitat County Emergency Management, c/o Glen Chipman, 205 S Columbus Rm 103 MS-CH-28, Goldendale WA 98620.
