NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER of amending Klickitat County Code Title 1, Chapter 1.04 “General Provisions” by adding new sections defining liability and culpability for violations of county ordinances: WHEREAS, to ensure justice the Klickitat Code must be clear on individual, corporate, principal, and agent culpability for violations of County ordinances; and WHEREAS, the County should not allow individuals to go unpunished when agents or corporations acting on their behalf violate the law. WHEREAS, it is proposed that Klickitat County Code Title 1, Chapter 1.04 be amended to add new sections adopting as part of the code RCW 9A.08.010 (General requirements of culpability), RCW 9A.08.020 (Liability for conduct of another-Complicity) and RCW 9A.08.030 (Criminal liability of corporations and persons acting or under a duty to act in their behalf), including all future amendments, additions or deletions. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers located at 205 South Columbus, Room 101, Goldendale, Washington at the hour of 1:30 PM for the purpose of considering this proposed amendment to Klickitat County Code Title 1, Chapter 1.04. At said hearing, any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against said proposed amendments to Klickitat County Code Title 1, Chapter 1.04. Complete copies of the proposed ordinance may be obtained through the Commissioner's office located at 205 S. Columbus, Room 103, Goldendale, WA 98620 or by calling 773-4612.
