BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Klickitat County, Washington IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION ) OF A PORTION OF CANYON ROAD ) AND A PORTION OF APPLETON ROAD )Resolution No.:09106 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that certain portions of old alignments of county roads are of no further value to Klickitat County and hereby declares its intention to vacate the following: CANYON ROAD Unused portion of Canyon Road, County Road No. 91110, that portion of old right of way, originally established as F.R. Reynolds road, which lies outside the currently used rights-of-way, for: • Canyon Road Number 13000, as established on February 4th, 1913, and altered as shown on the Plans for CRP 73-19, CRP 74-5, CRP 641, CRP 655, CRP 224, and the establishment of the Freemen-Reynolds change established January 5th, 1915. • Silva Cutoff Road, Number 13180. More particularly from Engineer’s Station 34+00 of CRP 224, to Engineer’s Station 331+00 of CRP 74-5, to the intersection of the present location of Silva Cutoff Road in the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 4. Over and across the West ½ of the NE ¼ of Section 27, the W ½ of the SE ¼ of Section 22, the NE ¼ of Section 22, The SE ¼ of Section 15, the NE ¼ of Section 15, the W ½ of the SE ¼ of Section 10, the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 10, the NW ¼ of Section 10, the SW ¼ of Section 3, and the NE ¼ of Section 4, all in Township 3 North, Range 12 East W.M. APPLETON ROAD That portion of Appleton Road, County Road No. 13160 lying outside of the right of way of the newly constructed alignment (CRP 180). The portion involved is now located east of and between Engineer’s Stations 0+031.75 and 0+139.73 of the newly constructed road right of way all in Section 4 Township 3 North, Range 12 East W.M. as shown by plans on file in the office of the County Engineer at Goldendale and bearing the date of April 12, 1999. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Engineer is directed to make an examination of said rights of way and file his report as to whether said rights of way should be vacated, whether the public will benefit by the vacation of said rights of way and any other facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board. FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing for said vacation of described right of way will be held in the Commissioners’ Chambers in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Goldendale, Washington on the 27th day of June at the hour of 1:30 p.m. at which time any objections against or approval for said proposed vacation will be heard and the Board of Commissioners hereby orders that due legal notice of said hearing be given as prescribed by statute.
