NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Board of Klickitat County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 1:30 PM on Monday, September 8, 2003 in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room, 205 S. Columbus, Room 101, Goldendale, WA 98620 to consider amending Klickitat County Code Title 2 “Administration and Personnel” by adding a new chapter 2.26 to be titled “County Owned Vehicles” At said hearing any interested individual may appear and be heard for or against said proposed amendment. A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinance will be mailed upon request by calling 773-4612 or e-mail bocc@co.klickitat.wa.us. The Klickitat County Courthouse is accessible for persons with disabilities. Please call (509) 773-4612 if you will need any special accommodations in order to attend the meeting. Summary of the proposed ordinance: WHEREAS, RCW 46.08.065 identifies the manner in which publicly owned vehicles are to be marked and exceptions thereto and further allows that the appropriate governing body may provide by rule or ordinance for marking of passenger motor vehicles as prescribed in RCW 46.08.065(2) or for exceptions to the marking requirements for local government agencies for the same purposes and under the same circumstances as permitted for state agencies under RCW 46.08.065(3). WHEREAS, the Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Klickitat County to mark all county owned vehicles in accordance with the provisions of RCW 46.08.065 and to allow an alternate method as prescribed in RCW 46.08.065(2).
