Notice of Community Meeting On Thursday, April 29, representatives of Windy Flats Phase III, LLC (“WFPIII”) will hold a community meeting to provide information about WFPIII’s Windy Flats West Wind Energy Project. WFPIII proposes to construct the Project in the Columbia Hills southwest of Goldendale. The Project would include approximately 29 wind turbine generators located within a site approximately 5 miles long. When operational, the Project would generate a maximum of 67 megawatts of renewable wind energy. The Project will be located on land that was previously permitted as part of the Windy Flats Wind Energy Project and the proposed layout is similar to the one previously permitted. WFPIII is applying to the Klickitat County Planning Department for a permit to construct and operate the Project under the County’s Energy Overlay Zone Ordinance. The meeting will take place at the Centerville Grange Hall, 2288 Centerville Highway, in Centerville. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. with an open house format, to be followed at 7:30 p.m. by presentations from project representatives. Those interested in the Project are invited to attend. |
