NOTICE OF REVISED SCOPE OF EIS AND REQUEST FOR COMMENT SEP2007-54 Klickitat County invites agencies, affected tribes, and members of the public to comment on the revised scope of the EIS for Roseland Property Group of West Linn, OR. Comments will be received on alternatives, mitigation measures, impacts, and licenses or other approvals that may be required. Roseland Property Group LLC (PPG) proposes to develop and operate Sundoon Destination Resort Project, a destination resort on approximately 540.6 acres of land located in Dallesport, Washington. A complete description of the project is available for review at the Klickitat County Planning Department. On January 7, 2010, a public scoping notice was published by Klickitat County Planning Department, and comments were received from agencies and the public through the comment closing period on January 28, 2010. Subsequently the project underwent modifications, resulting in this revised scoping notice and request for comments. LOCATION OF PROPOSAL: The Project area is located west of US Highway 197 and east of the town of Dallesport, Washington. The project area is within all or portions of Sections 26, 27, 34 & 35, T2N, R13E, W.M., Klickitat County, WA. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is being prepared in keeping with the requirements of RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). The Applicant has elected to prepare an EIS for this project. Comments on the scope of the EIS will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. August 5, 2010.
