PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OPEN SPACE ADVISORY COMMITTEE Klickitat County is seeking applicants for a one year term on the county’s Open Space Advisory Committee. The purpose of the advisory committee is to supply the assessor with advice on typical crops, land quality, and net cash rental assessments to assist the assessor in determining appropriate values in implementing assessments guidelines as established by the department of revenue for open space, farm and agricultural, and timber land classified under the provisions of Chapter 84.34 RCW. The advisory committee shall not give advice regarding the valuation or assessment of specific parcels of land. All interested applicants should submit a letter of interest to include their background as well as present activities that qualify them as representing the active farming community within the county. Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered for appointment. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 PM on September 24, 2010 at the county commissioners office in the county courthouse, 205 S. Columbus, Room 103, MS-CH-04 Goldendale, Washington.
