NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Klickitat County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing February 21, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 205 S. Columbus, Goldendale, WA. THE PURPOSE of said hearing is to hear all interested parties who wish to testify for or against the following proposal: • Cluster Agriculture Overlay. A proposal to repeal and replace the Cluster Development District section of the County regulation (Section 2.24 of the Klickitat County Zoning Ordinance No. 62678, as amended and Klickitat County Code Title 19.50). The proposed overlay may be superimposed over parcels zoned Extensive Agriculture and Open Space in the entirety of Klickitat County. The proposed amendments are intended to provide flexibility of the setback and lot size provisions for residential development, encouraging the land owners to retain large, undivided parcels of land that provide opportunities for compatible agricultural and other rural land use. The Planning Commission may make recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners to approve, deny, approve with conditions, table, or continue the matter to a set time and place. The application is available for review at the Klickitat County Planning Department, 228 W. Main St., Goldendale, WA.
