WELCOME TO MT. ADAMS TRANSPORTATION!

MATS

Providing the Transportation You Need!

We will take you where you need to be!

¨      Medical appointments

¨      Employment (limited)

¨      Social service appointments

¨      Educational opportunities

¨      Grocery shopping

This service is designed to enable Klickitat County residents who lack transportation resources to meet their basic needs.

We have both buses and private vehicles available in Goldendale and White Salmon, with each office serving its end of the county. If you live in or west of Dallesport or Klickitat, please call White Salmon for service. If you live to the east of these towns, you are in the Goldendale service area. We have approximately 12 volunteer drivers between the two offices that volunteer their time and vehicle to provide transportation service to county residents. They are licensed and insured and have had their vehicles and driving skills evaluated. Our van drivers are licensed and trained to serve your transportation needs.

Mt. Adams Transportation Service is designed to provide an alternative transportation resource to Klickitat County residents. The dial-a-ride service provides transportation to eligible county residents for doctor’s appointments, social and human service appointments, educational opportunities, shopping and other essential services. To request a ride, call in at least one business day in advance of your trip. Be prepared to give the transportation coordinator your

¨      Name, address & phone number

¨      Your date of birth

¨      The date & time of your appointment

¨      The address of your destination.

Your ride may be scheduled on one of our buses or with a volunteer driver in a private vehicle. The choice depends on your needs and the availability of resources.

Let us know about your special needs!

We need to know about things such as wheelchair transportation,

children under 80 lbs or under 4’9”,

oxygen bottles, walkers, etc.

Mt. Adams Transportation goes to all areas of Klickitat County, The Dalles and Hood River on a regular basis. We can go to Portland/Vancouver and Yakima for medical services. Trips to non-essential destinations can be made on a space-available basis.

Our priorities for scheduling trips will give a preference to passengers needing rides to medical appointments, education, basic human services such as post office, banking, social services and basic shopping needs.

If you are a Medicaid recipient and need to schedule a trip to a medical appointment please call the Medical Transportation Brokerage at 1-800-752-9422.
