KCSO Jail

The KCSO Jail is located at the Klickitat County Courthouse, 205 S. Columbus Goldendale, WA.  Phone 509-773-3666.

The jail is managed by Superintendent Dixie Keffeler, and staffed by a crew of 11 CJTC certified Corrections Officers and other personnel.  The staff maintains an orderly, clean and safe corrections facility.

KCSO is part of the VINELink program.  This free service allows victims and others to receive notification when an offender is released from custody.  Anyone can anonymously register and they will be notified by phone and/or email when a specific offender is released.  Visit the VINELink site to search for an offender, then register to receive notification. You may also register by phone at 877-846-3492.  Please note that the system includes city and county jails, NOT the Washington State prison system.

Jail visiting hours are Thursday and Saturday between the hours of 9A-11A, 1P-4P, 6P-8:30P.  The inmate is allowed up to 6 pre-specified visitors on their visitor list.  Inmates must be in jail a minimum of 72 hours before they are allowed any visitors. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire visit.

If you have been incarcerated in this facility you may not visit inmates for 45 days after your release.

Every visitor to the KCSO Jail must sign in and provide their name, birthdate, and the identity of the inmate they are visiting. Check in for visiting begins 1/2 hour prior to session start.  All persons entering the facility, including visitors, are subject to search. Visits last approximately 30 minutes, but be aware that this can change. Visitors will be called in the order in which they checked in, whenever possible.

If the inmate is held on a charge where bail is allowed, it is recommended that bail be paid directly to the courts if possible.  Approved Bail Bond Agencies are:

  • A Plus Bail Bonds 509-773-4135
  • All Pro Bail Bonds 360-385-4199
  • An Exit Bail Bonds 877-742-0006
  • Lacey O'Malley Bail Bonds 800-660-5245
  • Liberty Bail Bonds 509-965-0826
  • Signature Bail Bonds 509-452-8624

Bail bonds are handled by bonding agents. Agents have their own charging schedules, and any questions regarding charges for bonds must be directed to the bonding company. This facility will accept cash or bond (unless the bail is cash only) – no personal checks or debit/credit. Bail can be paid 24 hours a day directly to the jail, or during business hours directly to the court of jurisdiction.

The KCSO Jail houses inmates from the Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, Goldendale Police Department, Bingen-White Salmon Police Department, and other agencies.  Persons sentenced in court to less than one year of jail time serve that time in the KCSO Jail. Persons sentenced to over one year are housed in facilities around the state run by the Department of Corrections.
