THE GLENWOOD 'KETCH-EM KALF'
NPRA RODEO
Father's Day Weekend Every Year
The Glenwood Rodeo is located at the base of Mt. Adams on the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains. Join us this year and every year on Father's Day Weekend.
IN THE BEGINNING
The first rodeo was organized in 1934 by a group called The Camas Prairie and Vicinity Pioneer Association, followed by the Mt. Adams Cattle Association, and more recently by the Glenwood Rodeo Association.
The first rodeo was held on the Conboy Place, was later moved to the Trout Place south of the Glenwood Post Office, and was then moved to the present site west of Glenwood on ground donated by Pete Conboy.
Agnes Miller and Jane Kreps ran the first Glenwood Women's Club concession stand when they sold coffee and donuts from a small table next to a campfire over which they heated the coffee.
TODAY
The KETCH-UM KALF Rodeo is NPRA sanctioned and typically attracts more then 4,000 visitors.
We have a Dance Hall on the grounds where we have great time on Saturday night, and we have free camping on the grounds and in the area.
The KETCH-UM KALF Logo shown below is from our present rodeo vests.
