Swine Flu Information and Clinic Information

The Klickitat County Health Department is now offering the H1N1 (Swine flu) vaccine to the general public. Vaccinations are available by appointment only.

Anyone who would like to receive an H1N1 vaccination should contact the Health Department in White Salmon (509-493-1558) or Goldendale (509-773-4565) to schedule an appointment.


Anyone who falls into one of the original priority groups are still strongly encouraged to receive an H1N1 vaccination if they have not already. The priority groups still include:
  • Pregnant women
  • Household contacts or caregivers of infants less than 6 months of age
  • Children aged 6 months to 24 years old
  • Health Care workers and emergency service personnel
  • Persons aged 25-64 with chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems


The Klickitat County Health Department continues to urge residents to continue with personal precautions to protect themselves, their families, and the public. To prevent yourself from getting sick:
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough and sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective when properly used.
  • Avoid close contact with sick people.
  • If you are getting sick, stay home from work or school, and limit contact with other to keep from infecting them. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
