Elections/Voter Registration
The Auditor's office is open to the public for normal services between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Vehicle Licensing hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please respect the County's COVID-19 guidelines and the 3-person occupancy level inside the lobby.
Elections and Voter Registration
The auditor is responsible for administering all federal, state, county, city/town, school, hospital, fire, cemetery, water, sewer, port, park and recreation and public utility districts elections. In addition to the annual primary and general election, there could also be two special elections in February and April.
Candidate Filing Week is May 16-20, 2022
In Person Filing
In person filing opens at 8:30 A.M. May 16th and closes at 5:00 P.M. May 20th. Filing fees can be paid by cash, check, or money order.
Online Candidate Filing
Online Candidate Filing opens at 9:00 A.M. on May 16th and closes at 4:00 P.M. on May 20th. Filing fees can be paid with a credit or debit card. Online candidate filing is available on our website at: https://voter.votewa.gov/candidatefiling/candidatelogin.aspx. Please note that any online candidate filing not completed by 4:00 p.m. sharp will be not process.
Mail-In Filing
Declarations may be accepted by mail beginning on May 2nd. All declarations will be processed during filing week. All mail in filings must be received in our office by 5 p.m. May 20th. Send declarations to Klickitat County Auditor, Attn: Elections, 205 S Columbus Ave Room 203, Goldendale, WA 98620. Filing fees can be paid with check or money order.

Voters' Pamphlet Requirements for Districts presenting measures
Districts who file resolutions for the have voters' pamphlet requirements. Committee appointments must be made by the board of your district in a public meeting and signed before submission to the Auditor's Office. Once committee appointments are submitted, no changes can be made.

Accessible Voting Advisory Committee
A meeting for the Accessible Voting Advisory Committee will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. The meeting will be in the County Commissioner’s Board Room on the ground floor in the Klickitat County Courthouse located at 205 S. Columbus Ave, Goldendale, WA 98620. An accessibility ramp is located on the north side of the building.
The purpose of this meeting will be to review the 2019 Accessible Voting Plan and evaluate the usability on the new Accessible Voting Unit.
