Mission Statement


The Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management’s (KCDEM) mission is to provide robust disaster mitigation, response, recovery, and public outreach through various emergency management programs. The E-911 Dispatch function of KCDEM is dedicated to providing prompt, courteous, and professional handling of all 9-1-1 and non emergent calls. It is our mission to protect life and property by delivering professional, effective and compassionate 9-1-1 public safety communications to the public and public safety responders of Klickitat County.

Trainings monthly to teach you how to operate the unmanned system so that you can help in emergency situations. 

Emergency Operations Center - Department of Emergency Management

When an emergency happens, we need you to keep our county and its residents safe. Upcoming Orientation to Operations will teach you what we do, what we need, and provide you with a free FEMA training!
