Household Hazardous Waste Collection

The above materials as well as any other household hazardous waste items should be taken to one of the Collection Facilities that accepts the item you are disposing.

Empty containers are not household hazardous waste. A container is generally considered to be empty when there is less than a quarter inch of product left in the container. Empty containers may be disposed of through your normal trash service.

Household Hazardous Waste Reuse Program

Ask the transfer station attendants about re-usable paints, cleaning products or yard and garden chemicals. These partially used products are sometimes available and at no charge to you.

HHW Program is Free to Residents

There is no charge to the Klickitat County residents for the household hazardous waste program. This program is provided by Klickitat County Solid Waste in cooperation with Republic Services and The Washington State Department of Ecology.
